London Restaurant Review – Lasagneria Italiana

(Ad) London Restaurant Review – Lasagneria Italiana

For many Italians lasagna on a Sunday is the ultimate family comfort food. It is Italy’s answer to the British Sunday roast.

I was recently invited to dine at Lasagneria Italiana to try out their vast menu of lasagnas.

Cocktails were an obligatory to start our evening! Unfortunately as I had to drive home from the station I couldn’t finish my two cocktails however a few sips of both of them showed how delicious and individual they were.

Lasagna is the dish of the day every day, they have 17 different varieties.  You can try half a portion so you could try two different ones, a regular portion – great if you know your favourite or a trio portion – to really treat yourself and to find out which one is your favourite (if you can pick a favourite that is!

Lasagneria Italiana is the perfect place for lunch with friends or a great date night!

And if you still want ‘lasagna’ you can have a Nutella Lasagna or Oreo Lasagna for dessert!

Location:

In a quiet courtyard opposite the rear entrance of The Royal Exchange are the long windows and twinkly lights of Lasagneria Italiana. There are trees outside and canvas covered seating perfect for a classic espresso or cocktail when the weather allows.

Chef Antonio Sanzone:

Chef Sanzone brings a fresh approach. Following on from a stint at the renowned Caffe Caldesi he went on to win both a Tatler Award and a San Pellegrino Award. Chef came over to check on us several times to make sure we were enjoying the food and if there was anything he could get us. He was also very willing to chat with us and have his photo taken.
