Bailey’s Hotel – Year of The Tiger Menu
(Ad) February 2022 heralds the beginning of the Chinese zodiac, Year of The Tiger (there are twelve Chinese Zodiac signs – I was born in a year of the Horse!) and a perfect place to celebrate this auspicious event is at the Bailey’s Hotel situated right outside Gloucester Road Underground station in South Kensington London. This hotel is part of the international Millennium Hotel Group.

The Bailey’s Hotel was opened in 1876 and was one of London’s first purpose built hotels offering visitors a modern boutique feel with cutting edge amenities and unrivalled service that has endured to this day.
Current day The Bailey’s Hotel offers a contemporary boutique feel with 212 rooms including 13 suites and all decorated in stunning four-star decor including air conditioning, flat-screen TVs, Nespresso coffeemakers, free Wi-Fi, complementary bottled water, tea coffee and biscuits.

Dining:
The Bugis Street Brasserie offers authentic Asian cuisine right in the middle of Kensington. The menu is styled on Singaporian, Malaysian and Chinese food. We sampled a selection of starters, main course and a unique dish to finish off.
This year The Bugis Street Brasserie would be the perfect place to experience Chinese New Year (it is the Year of the Tiger).
Following a day at the nearby museums enjoy dishes like ‘Salt and Pepper Vegetables’, ‘Vegetable Spring Rolls’, ‘Seafood Ho-Fun’, Hainanese Chicken and Rice’, ‘Szechuan King Prawns’ and loads more.
The ‘Prawn Toast’ was one of the best I have ever had and I could have just eaten a huge platter of ‘Vegetable Spring Rolls’.

Cocktails:
The Bailey’s Flat White Espresso Martini is their new signature cocktail which marries the iconic Bailey’s Irish Cream and espresso coffee resulting in a creamy and delicious sippable but very moreish cocktail.

The original hotel owner Sir James Bailey was the inspiration in the creation of Bailey’s Irish Cream, an iconic and ubiquitous drink originally made to use surplus cream and a loss making Irish whiskey, created by entrepreneurs Mr Gluckman and Mr Seymour-Davies and first went on sale in 1974. Today Bailey’s Irish Cream is made with aged Irish whisky and fresh Irish dairy cream.
Summary:
So sit back, enjoy the ambiance with a pre-dinner drink and spoil yourself in the brasserie while thinking of the fond memories you made in this popular part of London, South Kensington.
