Get your favourite coffee by mail – use a subscription service!

We are a nation of coffee lovers, full of coffee shop visitors whether we want a latte, Americano, short black or a cup of tea.  We frequent our favourite coffee shop any chance we get. ……………… That way of life changed dramatically when we went into corona virus lockdown which resulted in the closure of all hospitality venues including our loved coffee houses. Although there has now been some relaxation to being able to visit our favourite coffee places for takeaway drinks many of us are not visiting city or town centres and are missing out on our favourite hot drink!

Beans vs ground:-

But don’t worry.  If you have one of a variety of coffee makers you can order top quality coffee delivered to your door and either beans or ground to your specifications as per your preferred method of brewing.

We have quite a few different coffee makers from the pour over method, the French press a Nespresso capsule machine to the Italian Espresso makers so usually I grind the beans at home to suite the chosen coffee of the day.

Since the coronavirus has changed our lives more and more people are ordering on line and each of the coffee companies have on-line purchase capabilities and all offer a monthly subscription service that you can also customise.  You decide if you want a selection monthly, bi-monthly or quarterly and you can usefully pause or cancel your subscription anytime.

Divine Coffee:

Divine coffee roasters began in a home kitchen in Yorkshire in 2016 and learning from each mistake the grew into a partnership between two old school friends creating a better way to provide a workable concept.  This concept roasts fresh good quality coffee beans and results in a first class coffee and fantastic customer service. Alfie Coffee:

From their base in Glasgow (behind a car repair shop) Alfie Coffee clean roasts all their beans to keep them toxin free. Their limited single origin beans are drum roasted freshly to order to give the freshest taste possible.

They do 100 gm taster bags allowing you to try several types of blends either in bean form or ground for your coffee maker.  These small bags are great to take if you are going away for a couple of days to ensure you have your favourite blend of coffee with you wherever you go!

Tortoise Tom Coffee:

When the guys took over the coffee estate in Tanzania they named the business Tortoise Tom after  Tom an aldabran tortoise over 100 years old came with it. Tom lives life in the slow lane and so does the coffee growing and production on their 2 acre site.

They have a wide range of coffee from around the world available in beans and ground and from countries such as Brazil, Peru, Honduras, Colombia and Tanzania.

So committed to the turtles they donate 10p from every pack sold to the International Tortoise Association .

Chimney Fire Coffee:

Now a team of 6 makes up Chimney Fire Coffee however the idea started in 2016 when founder Dan Webber returned from year working in coffee and cocoa traceability in Africa and set up Chimney Fire Coffee in his garden shed and moved a year later to a converted stables.

Ben and the team are committed to enabling farmers to manage their farm as a proper business and to ensure that the farm is capable of being sustainable, and not just having a subsistence lifestyle.
