Winning Big with Jet2Holidays
During this pandemic everyone has been dreaming of getting away as soon as possible. Restrictions are being lifted gradually and more and more people are getting away on the much needed holiday.
Jet2Holidays fly to at least 16 Greek destinations including mainland Greece, The Peloponnese and most of the Greek islands.
There are holidays to suit everyone, for example: self catering, half board, fully inclusive and family holidays. Deep blue waters lapping on secluded coves and bays or crowded beaches ensure there is something for sun seekers as well as waterside dining or a table for two at a small family run taverna. Jet2Holidays offers plenty of opportunities to enjoy your precious vacation hours according to your interests.
To celebrate the routes to Greece with Jet2Holidays I was invited to a cocktail masterclass in conjunction with Mixology Events.

They sent us everything we needed to create three fun and delicious cocktails and under the tutorship of LouAna we re-created their masterpieces.

My Winning Cocktail

Then we were challenged to create our own cocktail, name it then make it to present at then end of the challenge. I called my cocktail ‘Greek Blue Skies’ bringing me back to the beautiful blue skies I remembered from my visits to Greece before the pandemic put an end to that for the time being.
The prize for the best sounding, most creative and most evocative of a Jet2Holiday to Greece was a 7 night holiday for two to one of the Greek destinations they fly to! And guess what??
I WON!! So keep watching my blog and social media to see what I get up to. The only problem is deciding where to go!
Cocktail Recipe

A delicious, refreshing cocktail to take you to Greece and the beautiful blue skies while you wait to travel there with Jet2Holidays
- 1.5 25ml shot Hepple Sloe & Hawthorne Gin
- 1 25ml shot Sipsmith Vodka
- ½ 25ml shot blueberry honey fermented syrup any blueberry syrup will do but you will need 2tsp honey as well
- 1 Tbsp fresh blueberries
- 1 quarter slice lemon
- 8 blueberries for garnish
- 1 sprig fresh mint for garnish
- loads of ice
-
Take a cocktail shaker and put the blueberries in the glass part.
-
Mudde the blueberries untill crushes.
-
Add the measures of sloe & hawthorne gin, vodka and blueberry honey fermented syrup. Squeeze the lemon quarter into the glass.
-
Add ice to come to about half of the glass.
-
Put the stainless lid on the glass securing it and shake for about 15 - 20 seconds to ensure the cocktail is cold.
-
Remove the stainless lid and cover the glass with a cocktail strainer and gently pour into your chosen glass (a martini or coppa glass work really well).
-
Add three or four ice cubes and garnish with a toothpick studded with as many blueberries as will fit. Add a couple of mint leaves as well.
-
Sip slowly and think of the blue skies and turquoise waters of Greece and the Greek Islands.

I am really looking forward to visiting a new Greek destination very soon. I will be busy leafing through the Jet2Holidays brochure (Don’t forget those last minute holidays too!). Have you been to Greece either mainland or an island? Where would you recommend?
