English Drinks Company – Pink Gin for your Valentine!
Consider Pink Gin for your Valentine this year.

Each year for St Valentine’s Day I try to find pink things – I like a pink and heart shaped theme! My children would often open their lunchboxes to find their sandwiches were cut into heart shapes!!

This year I found a lovely pink gin from The English Drinks Company. As gin is having a very popular time at the moment I thought this could be a great one!
Gin is made from the same base ingredient as vodka which is a neutral spirit but then the addition of juniper and other botanicals in the distillation is what makes it a gin.
The English Drinks Company makes three flavours/varieties of gin; Cucumber and The Orangery. However the one I was sent was the Classic Pink Gin.

The Classic Pink Gin is a traditionally crafted gin with a very subtle blend of pomegranate and cinchona bark (the bark gives a sweet and slightly citrus tang with a bitter finish, this bitterness is found in tonic water as well coming from the ingredient quinine.).
A lovely cocktail would be Classic Pink Gin and a smooth vermouth slightly stirred and poured into a chilled martini glass.
The Classic Pink Gin retails for £35.00 for a 70cl bottle and is available from Majestic Wine Warehouses and selected retailers across the country (see the website for further details).
I served my Classic Pink Gin with some heart shaped pizza bites continuing my St Valentines Day theme.

There are so many pink gins available now – this one has a great hue.
It is actually a bit lighter but the red cloth makes it look darker. It was however a really nice gin!
This pink gin would be perfect to make into a Valentine’s cocktail. It sounds like it has a lovely subtle flavour too.
I really liked this gin and plan to buy some more soon!
This sounds like a great gin for Valentine’s day given its colour.
I do go overboard with the pink and red on Valentine’s Day!!
OMG, Pink Gin?? Wow! What a pretty color. So perfect for Valentines.
