Cuisine Box – Easy to Make Paella Kit

Easy to Make Paella Kit

Non perishable ingredients including paella pan

Have you ever wanted to make a paella at home but worried it would be too difficult or you wouldn’t know how much rice to use or how much stock etc etc!

Cuisine Box has a kit for you to make paella at home. But it’s not just the recipe, they give you the pan, all the non-perishable ingredients you will need and even more.  Cuisine Box also incudes music suggestions, table setting ideas, drinks pairings, tips to set the scene, a comprehensive Host guide and everything you could think of but are likely to forget to plan for.

The booklet with running order, play list, menu and everything you need.

If you look at their website you will see they have a wide range of popular dishes that come in kit form for you to make at home.  The range includes Sushi Making Kit, Gnocchi Making Kit, Shoyu Ramen, Mexican, Pizza, Ravioli and Biryiani Making Kits too.

I decided to make the paella because I had aways wanted to make one at home but was afraid I couldn’t have the right size pan or which rice was best and so many other fears.

Two pans of paella one is vegetarian and one chicken

My box arrived and it contained everything I would need like the paella pan, the rice amount already measured out, the saffron, the olive oil and a detailed recipe.  The booklet that came with the kit was washable so it wouldn’t get ruined in the kitchen and also so you could keep it to use again another day. I have made the paella twice more since my box arrived.

The ingredients  listed were both those that were included and those you needed to get like chicken, peppers etc. Because the recipe was written out in full you would know the quantities of the included items to make it again.

There was also a detailed running order of when to do each step and even when to omit the meat if you were making the vegetarian version.

The kits have been designed by the founders Fiona, who trained in the hospitality industry before Cuisine box and her partner Manuel an Argentinian with a degree in Gastronomy and is a trained chef.  They started their business following a dinner party that went wrong. They realised that many people have similar problems and set out to make entertaining easier and fool-proof.

It was a difficult decision which kit to pick and it’s just as hard to decide on the next one. I will have to work my way through the list! The kits are perfect to try on your own or to give as a gift.
