Oploft – Sit – Stand Desk
Discover the Oploft Sit-Stand Desk
The Oploft Sit-Stand Desk is designed to keep you moving throughout your working day. It has been said that we should not sit for long periods of time at a desk whilst working on a computer. Sitting during the day for more than 6 hours can lead to being overweight and obesity as well as leading to circulation problems.

Even my Fitbit tells me at 10 minutes to the hour how many steps I need to do in that last 10 minutes to achieve my minimum of 250 steps per hour.
As a blogger I spend long hours sitting in front of a computer writing up my experiences which is never good for the circulation or the back so I was really pleased to hear about the Oploft Sit-Stand Desk.
You can vary the height of the desk for people of different heights

and when fully extended you can stand straight up and carry on typing.

The positions can be raised or lowered with an easy and smooth movement using the two levers on the side. Standing for periods of time during your working day can help to fight aches, be less prone to injuries, cardiovascular disease and other effects of prolonged sitting. This position is better for your circulation.
The maximum weight capacity is 12 kg/26 lbs.
To Raise the desk:-
To raise the desk grip the sides and simultaneously push out both handles with thumbs. Slowly lift to raise the surface and release the handles once at the desired height.
To Lower the desk:-

To Close the desk fully:-

Increasing the time standing can have a seriously positive impact on the nation’s health. Benefits can include increased alertness, concentration, improved blood circulation and it also burns calories

I need adesk like this.Likeyou I do spend a lot of time at my desk nad this would be perfect to do some stretches whilst working if I can stand and work.
It’s a new discipline to get used to but I think it will show great benefits!
This is really a handy one.. wish I could get something like this to do my video recordings…
All bloggers need this, I have to set a timer to remind me to get up, otherwise time just flies when writing a post and then hubby complains that I’ve been sitting for hours. A very versatile piece of equipment.
