Cook Authentic Indian Food at Home with Simply Sensational Food
Cooking authentic Indian food at home with Simply Sensational Food.
Do you ever go out to an Indian restaurant and wish you could cook food like this at home? My friend and fellow food blogger Nayna has started her own company teaching people to cook vegetarian and vegan Indian food in their own homes.
Nayna came to my house when my daughter and two grandsons were staying. Along with my daughter and the boys she cooked our lunch of a delicious vegetarian meal.

Initially Nayna sends you a list of dishes for you to pick which ones you would like to prepare with her and follows up with the ingredients list and the actual recipes you will be following.

The recipes are all vegetarian and feature spices and ingredients that are readily available in most supermarkets.
Nayna will also show you some skills like fine cutting of onions,

and how to roll out the puri dough ready to cook.

Some of the recipes you can make:-
Curries:-
Spinach & Potato Curry, Potato & Peas (Aloo Matter), Peas & Paneer (Matter Paneer), Aubergine Curry, Bombay Aloo and more.

Rices and Flatbreads:-
Jerra Rice, Garlic Rice, Mixed Vegetable Rice and more. And you will make one of these flatbreads; plain paratha, puri, chapatti.

My daughter and her family have continued to make and enjoy the dishes they learned on their cookery class day.
Nayna can also provide some specialist tools like the Indian rolling pin, rolling out board and the iconic spice boxes at reasonable prices for you to purchase and keep for future recipes.
At the end of the cooking session we all sat down and enjoyed a veritable feast, all prepared and cooked with excellent tuition and willing helpers.

Sounds like you have enjoyed the meal. I suppose I take our meal for granted n do not realise that it is “foreign ” to others. 😀
We are so lucky in London to have such a wide range of “foreign” foods available in both restaurants and supermarkets!
I am so glad that your daughter nad the little helpers enjoyed the cooking calss. I must say they were fabulous students.
Caroline has made the dishes a couple of times now and the family really enjoy the food!
That’s really nice .. everyone seems to have enjoyed the class. The sabzi looks yummy and the puris so nicely puffed up.
It was great to have such a feast on the table and all I did was take the photos!! 😂

It’s always great to cook together and of course eating at the end is a bonus!
Looks like you had a great time. I wish I could have tasted it.
It must so nice to learn a new cuisine right in your own kitchen. Awesome idea.
I need a cooking class to make Indian food. Everyone in my family loves it.
It’s loads of fun and you get to each such delicious food!!
Those cripsy puri are delightful! I have an Indian friend who often makes them for me and they are so good. The other recipes look great too.
