Kubic Smart Hotel Athens

During my recent trip to Athens I stayed at Kubic Smart Hotel (Agiou Konstantinou 26, Athens 104 37/Tel: +30 21 1402 1695). The Kubic Smart Hotel is the first smart hotel in Greece.

Situated on one of the main roads in Athens and just a few minutes walk from the Metro station Omonia. From this station you can get to almost any part of the city on the well laid out underground system.

The reception staff were welcoming. There is a bar to sit at for a quick drink or bar snack, and a comfortable lounge to meet friends or catch up on work. A limited menu of room service is available 24/7.

We checked into our rooms after a quick introduction to the smart devices in the rooms.  Each room has a tablet which can control the mood of the room; opening and closing the window roller blinds, the temperature of the room, the lights. You can watch TV from the huge comfortable bed, set an alarm for the morning or browse the internet. The hotel also offers free Wi-Fi throughout.

As well as the tablet the hotel also provides you with a smart phone to use during your stay. Kubic wants to save you incurring roaming charges or using your data so provide you with a ‘handy’ phone to take out with you.  It was really helpful making local calls and getting directions.

The room was light and airy with a huge bed.  I had some of the best sleeps ever in that bed waking up feeling like I was being supported by the clouds!

I absolutely loved the tiles in the shower!

Breakfast was set out buffet style in the adjoining hotel offering the chance to personalise your breakfast to your individual desire.

The breakfast room had a great view of the main road outside.

The weather was lovely during our stay and we found the perfect spot to enjoy the sun and the view.  The hotel has a fabulous roof terrace easily accessible by taking the lift to the top floor and short set of stairs to the roof terrace.

I am hoping to return to Athens again in the autumn and would love to stay at the Kubic Smart Hotel again.
