Kingston: Review of Chakra London Kingston Restaurant
My review of Chakra London Kingston Restaurant:-

With my blogger friends Nayna and Manjiri I reviewed Chakra Restaurant in High Street Kensington some time ago so I was really excited to visit Chakra London Kingston restaurant. You can read that review here – London: Chakra – Contemporary Indian Dining
Chakra sits right on the Riverside in Kingston with a great view and plenty of outside seating.

As you enter the restaurant you are greeted with a smile and you take in the welcoming atmosphere and comfortable dining area.

This visit I was with my friend and fellow blogger Manjiri. Kingston is just a short ride from Wimbledon (Main Line or London Underground) so really easy to reach.
The Chakras which are our energy points are thought to vitalise and keep in balance our spiritual, mental, emotional and physical health. The food we ate that day did just that! Have a look to see what we enjoyed:-
We started with a glass of freshly prepared Mango Lassi – perfectly refreshing but not filling so as to not put us off our food (I liked the fact that the straws were paper and not plastic).

We had the Sharing Menu – Chakra’s Gourmand Journey which is for a minimum of 2 people and at £35 per person is an absolute feast!
Amuse Bouche:-
Assorted papadam with House chutneys. The top one looked like chicken skin however was a really spicy popadom.
Starter:-
Samosa Ghugni Chaat. My first comment was “Are you sure there is a samosa under there?”. And of course there was! So many different flavours trying to get the attention of your taste buds!
From the Tandoor (Clay Oven):-
A selection from the following:- Peshari Lamb Chop, Sunhari King Prawn, Hariyali Chicken Tikka, Achari Paneer Tikka, Tandoori Gobi and Bharwa Mirch (stuffed peppers).
Main Course:-
Good Ole Butter Chicken or Baingan Bharta
Accompanied by:-
Saffron Pulao Rice, Saag Aloo, Chakra House Daal, Pomegranate Raita and Mixed Bread Basket
Sweet:-
We were so stuffed to the brim that we didn’t want a large dessert so instead had a Kulfi – a sweet milk based frozen treat. This had to be the most beautiful Kulfi I have ever had before!!

All of the food that was served to us was beautifully presented which I think shows the love that is put into the cooking and serving of this delicious food. Even though Kingston is a bit of a trek for me this was food I would travel the distance for. I am looking forward to a repeat visit.

The food looks delicious.. I like the way they have presented the kulfi.
The chicken skin like poppadum or papad as we call it is made from sago pearls. Fried, its the yummiest. What a lovely place to dine at . I’m definitely asking you or Nayna for good places to wine and dine when I come to UK next.
Thanks now I know how to serve the plain old samosa differently. The food does look delicious n is presented beautifully.
The meal was absolutely delicious and different from any Indian food I have had before!
Loved going to Chakra with you Heidi, great food and amazing company x
Their food was so delicious and very different from what I have had before!
