London: Review of The Glasshouse Restaurant at The Grove
I was a guest of The Grove and reviewed the Glasshouse Restaurant for lunch.

The famous hotel, restaurant and spa, The Grove has recently renovated their restaurant. The Glasshouse opened recently, fully re-furbed with a luminous new decor and absolutely gorgeous in style along with a new live food concept. There are eight live-action food stations with chefs constantly preparing the food absolutely freshly while you wait.
I was having lunch with Fiona friend, food and travel blogger London Unattached and we started with a refreshing drink in the bar. The drinks menu was the most colourful and artistic I have ever seen and offers a huge selection of drinks.
The restaurant has different food stations serving you food as you want it such as a pizza oven, tandoori oven, roast meat station complete with Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes and gravy. Each station has an expert ready to dish up their pride and joy to the deserving luncheon or dinner guest.

The salad bar is fresh and innovative and constantly being refilled. Large platters full of delicious foods such as Caesar salad, Tomato, Basil & Mozzarella, smoked salmon, fresh salmon, cooked shrimp on beds of ice and the traditional tomatoes, cucumber and salad leaves. There are olives, prosciutto ham and serious cheeses all to tempt you to spend more of the afternoon! And all the while there are plenty of staff to offer advice and details of the items in the bowls.

The piece d’resistance (that means the best bit) is the pudding station! From delicious and attractive bowls of fresh fruit to a sumptuous selection of puddings and ices, all made in house and finally there is a chocolate fountain to pour warm chocolate over anything you like. I poured the warm chocolate over my vanilla ice cream but you could have a bowl of just …. chocolate!!

A short walk from the main building is the Walled Garden. Just behind the wall is what I would call a typical Victorian kitchen garden. There are raised growing beds, cages to keep the birds out and loads of other aesthetically pleasing tools.

There is the luxurious Sequoia Spa whose treatments can relax and unwind you with treatments tailored especially for you including facials, massage, manicures, pedicures and special packages. For more info contact them on 01923 294 294.
The walled garden in open from 12th April to 15th September. There is an outdoor pool, sandy beach with deck chairs and tennis courts for superstars to budding beginners.

The Grove is also home to one of the UK’s most prestigious golf courses. It has hosted the World Golf Championships with Tiger Woods winning there in 2006 and hosted the British Masters in 2016. If you would like to know more or to book a slot email them at tee.time@thegrove.co.uk.
I love living so close to The Grove and really look forward to visiting again and of course taking Mr R with me!!
